One software which I really admire for it’s simplicity. I always believed softwares should be such that they should help in achieving your objectives. They should not disturb you, sit quite and help when asked for by doing their jobs seamlessly.
Launchy is one of such software, it has made many peoples start menu redundant. Just try using it and you will undertsand how. It’s truly wonderful and you will realize it.
I try to explain it but to believe you have to use and see.
e.g. I want to open Firefox, I can open it by desktop icon or I can use start menu, quick launch bar. I want to open some file in my documents I have to do the same things but this time little more time will go.
How Launchy will help? You just have to install it and give the folders which you want it to watch. That’s it, next time you want to open any file/program just type alt+space and then some letters which that progam has in it’s name and launchy will show you if choice is correct. If yes hit enter else you can choose from the list below.
But that again for the first time next time you type same letters again Launchy will give you the exact choice. You can really type anything like ‘FF’ for Firefox, ‘DB’ for Digsby, word for MS Word and the list is endless.
